Declaration

This song was included in my Touchstone fanmix that I made for Kate a little while ago, and I thought it was too perfect to not have a video made to it. The video is really centered around my and Kate's because it's about Mulder's quest for the truth and how he finds the answer he has been looking for in the presence and heart of Scully. It's also about how Scully fits into his life and how she is at first conflicted as to whether or not she will have a place with him, and Mulder's convincing her that she is and will always be his touchstone.

So Close

I had started this one a little while ago - maybe a month, I can't quite remember - and then put it to the side when I switched computers. Last night, it just felt like the right thing to do. I made this one with tears in my eyes and on my face, and a box of tissues emptying itself rapidly into my hands and then the trash can nearby. As it came together in front of me, I realized that it's not just a video about the good moments in relationships, but the moments which define them, in all of their shapes and colors - and that sometimes, if you're fortunate enough, you find people who are willing to stay by you even through the darker moments of life.

To This Moment

An episodic video ("All Things", episode 7x17) as well as a character study of Dana Scully. "All Things" quickly became a favorite episode of mine, for the way it was filmed, directed, and for everything that came to unfold because of it. My first X-Files video.
